New Homeowners Receive Keys at the End of Habitat for Humanity’s Home Builders Blitz

 Habitat for Humanity’s Home Builders BlitzOCEANSIDE, California, August 9, 2011 – Professional and volunteer builders alike have put down their hammers and power saws to celebrate the successful end of San Diego Habitat for Humanity’s 2011 Home Builders Blitz. On Friday, August 5th, Swinerton Builders and Habitat for Humanity dedicated two homes that were built from start to finish during the five day build.

Two new homeowner families were presented with housewarming gifts and keys to their completed homes at a ceremony that took place at Libby Lake Village in Oceanside. Joining Habitat, Swinerton and the families in celebration were Oceanside Mayor Jim Wood, Oceanside Housing Commission Chairperson Kay Parker, Oceanside Fire Chief Darryl Hebert and Margery Pierce, Director of the City of Oceanside Neighborhood Services Department, among other special guests.
