Santa Nella, CA is a growing area just outside of Merced. The area is a popular place for people looking for new homes that do not want to live in a crowded city. While a lot of development has occurred recently in Santa Nella, much of the history of the area has been kept in tact to preserve this unique region.
The area was originally established as Sentinel Ranch in 1810. It operated as a place to raise horses. Since it is located near the Pancheco Pass, many people passed through the village. Like other communities, it was a place where people stopped during the California Gold Rush. According to the 2010 United States census, the small village now has a population of 1,380 people. Approximately one-third of the residents in the area are children. The other two-thirds are over the age of 18. The median age is 36 and the median household income is $38,824. The median cost of new homes in the area is $212,000. However, the median price for all homes sold is $130,000. These numbers are a little lower than the cost of homes in the Merced metro area.
Regardless of your price range, Santa Nella has great communities for people that are interested in purchasing new homes. It is a growing area to consider when you are searching for a home or condo to call your own.
